Emerging Issues for the Sustainable Development of Vietnam in the Context of Global Change

Over the last 20 years of sustainable development, Viet Nam has been certainly successful. However, the achievements have not met the potential of the country particularly in the areas of unsustainable development in all three pillars of economy, social and especially environmental sectors. In light of the implementation of the Global Sustainable Development Goals, Vietnam is faced with many challenges still ahead, especially in terms of environment: increased climate change, natural resource depletion and a growing demand for energy. Based on the real-life analysis and existing challenges of sustainable development in the context of global change and land renewal the paper proposes some strategic solutions to address the problem of green growth, including: innovation in thinking; strengthening institutions; renovation planning; etc. to create new impetus for the development of the country, to develop and implement the National Action Plan to implement Chapter 2030 agenda for the Global Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
