During the renewal period, the Communist Party and Vietnamese Government had issued and implemented many policies to develop ethnic local officials; focused on building management plan, training plan, employing ethnic officials in state organizations. Consequently, ethnic officials have been strengthening in both quantity and quality; they gradually meet the reality demand. This article evaluates current situation of the ethnic officials, and provides recommendations on training, coaching to improve the quality of ethnic officials to meet the increasing demand in the international integration and renewal path.
