Name Best practices for using social media for human rights
Description

The purpose of this booklet is to provide an overview of best practices with regards to use of social media for human rights-related work. The booklet highlights a number of areas which contribute to a successful use of social media. This booklet is produced by the Cambodian Centre for Human Rights (“CCHR”), a non-aligned, independent, non-governmental organisation that works to promote and protect democracy and respect for human rights –primarily civil and political rights –throughout Cambodia. The potential of using social media for human rights work is extensive. The use of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other social media tools to disseminate human rights information has grown significantly, and continues to trend upward. Using social media tools has become an effective way to expand reach, foster engagement and increase access to credible human rights based messages.
