Dataset contains points showing the location of completed and proposed/planned dams in Myanmar; including hydropower and irrigation dams. Data on each dam is available as attributes appended to each dam point.

Completeness Dataset created by merging and cleaning two dam datasets from IFC and WLE. Any incompleteness (for example, missing values) reflect the original condition of these datasets. For the user's information, some fields are more complete than others. Where appropriate, Open Development Myanmar has cleaned the dataset to the best of our ability.
Process Step Original datasets were obtained from the International Finance Corporation and CGIAR's Research Program on Water, Land, and Ecosystems. Three datasets in total were merged to create a single dam dataset.
