Myanmar Jade and Gems Mining Licences 2017-2018

Jade and gems mining licence data aggregated by township based on MEITI 5th Report (fiscal year 2017/18) published licences annex data. It is based on all jade and gems mining licences reported in the MEITI data as active in Myanmar during fiscal year 2017/2018.

This dataset includes the excel file with the original and cleaned data columns. As gems and jade licence data in the MEITI data does not include coordinates, OneMap Myanmar could not process the geodata showing individual licence blocks. The data created is only a summary at the township level for those townships with gems and jade mining tracts.

The licence information is based on the the MEITI "Licence Information annex" (http://www.myanmareiti.org/files/uploads/license_information2017-2018.xlsx). Summary attributes were added during the processing. The township boundary used is based on non-authoritative township boundary geometry curated by OneMap Myanmar (unreleased version 2020-10-20) and no guarantee is made as to the accuracy of the boundary and it should not be relied upon for any purpose other than general information and is not intended to delimitate or demarcate frontiers or official boundaries.

The original metadata was in English language and it was translated to Burmese language by ODM team. Both metadata are attached in the zipped shapefile in excel format.
