Process Step From the World Prison Brief online data site, select "Asia" from the left-hand menu (http://www.prisonstudies.org/map/asia). Select each of the five Lower Mekong countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Thailand, Vietnam) in turn to return data summaries for them each. Copy and paste the following table entries into the corresponding columns in Excel spreadsheet: "Number of establishments/institutions" = Prisons; "Prison population total (including pre-trial detainees/remand prisoners)" = Inmates; "note on prison population source year" = Year; "Official capacity of prison system" = Official capacity; "Pre-trial detainees/remand prisoners (percentage of prison population)" = Pre-trial/remand detainees.
