Recent Chinese migration to Vietnam

Based on fieldwork in various locations in Vietnam, this article looks at the different types of Chinese migration to Vietnam since the normalization of relations between the two countries in 1990. Recognizing the difference between old and new Chinese immigrants. Recent migration of the Chinese is characterized by the diversity of the composition of the migrants. Moreover, recent Chinese migration is fueled by the government's "go out" strategy and is associated with increasing investment flows, economic, trade and cultural support from China. .
