Report on investment trends of Taiwanese companies in ASEAN 2018-2024
The report examines the investment trends of global and Taiwanese companies in ASEAN from 2018 to 2024. It found that global investment increased most after the COVID-19 pandemic, while Taiwanese companies expanded their investments during the US–China trade conflict, especially in Vietnam. By 2024, around 6,200 Taiwanese companies were operating in ASEAN with annual revenue exceeding US$260 billion. The findings show that Taiwan's New Southbound Policy has strengthened economic and investment ties with ASEAN.
