Factors and conditions enabling the establishment of a network of village veterinary workers in Laos

The Poverty Alleviation in Remote Upland Areas (PARUA) project implemented by CARE and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (2003-2015) has been supporting Prai communities in Saysathan district, Sayabouly province to develop a network of independent village veterinary workers (VVWs) working as private entrepreneurs. This report aims to introduce approaches that have contributed to the development of the veterinary network in Saysathan district.
