Tropicl forest report

Most forests (84%) and other wooded lands (90%) worldwide are officially under public ownership. In the developing countries in Africa and Asia, forests are almost entirely under state control. In Africa 98% of forest area and 94% of other wooded land and in Asia 94% of forest area and 89% of other wooded land are under public ownership.
