Ministry of Mines and Energy issued a notification on the opening of mining​ concession​ areas​ for​ domestic​ and​ foreign​ mineral​ companies​ to​ apply​ for​ a​ mineral exploration​ license. The​ four​ concession​ areas​ include (1) The 49.25-square-kilometer exploration concession is located in Prek Keng Kang area, Thala Barivat district, Stung Treng province (2) The 32-square-kilometer exploration concession is located in Thala Barivat district, Stung Treng province (3) The 41.58-square-kilometer exploration concession is located in Phnom Proek area, Phnom Proek district, Battambang province and (4) The 93.94-square-kilometer exploration concession is located in O’Chos​ area, Kampong Cham commune, Sambour district, Kratie province, and Sochet commune and Mean Rith commune, Sandan district, Kampong Thom province.
