Arbitral awards for the labor incident involving Park Handbag (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.

This arbitral award is issued by the Arbitrator Council on the issue between Park Handbag (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (employer) and the ​Workers' representatives in resolving collective labor disputes of Park Handbag (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. (employee). According to the award, 4 points are demanded by the employee side and are yet to be resolved including 1) three workers are reinstated; 2) the company pays seniority indemnity regularly; 3) the company provides a food allowance for overtime as previously promised; and 4) the company does not ask workers to wash their feet before work. The outcome was that the issues of seniority indemnity and foot washing were successful. The issue of an overtime food allowance was withdrawn. The demand to reinstate workers was refused, but the Arbitration Council ordered damages and other severance pay to be paid to one of them. This was a non-binding award.
