This study attempts to answer two questions: (a) To what extent does Cambodia's existing policy and legislative framework support the implementation of the Strategic Framework for Dams and Development? (b) What changes need to be made in the existing policy and legislative frameworks to support comprehensive implementation of the Strategic Framework for Dams and Development? To set the scene for discussing these questions, a brief introduction to Cambodia’s geographical, political and social profile is also provided.
